Every year, the festival shows a selection of television programmes open to the world around us. It's only natural that the Fipa share this open-mindedness and curiosity with students, be they in middle or secondary school, or already pursuing degrees in film and video, communication and journalism.

This is why, since the beginning, the festival has always opened its doors to students.

One of the Fipa's principal vocations is to educate others about the filmed image. To accompany the students in their discovery of the world's best television programmes and to ensure that their stay at the Fipa is as productive as possible, the festival has developed a platform of activities within its educational department: special projections for middle school and upper school students, a jury of young Europeans, a showcase of international film and television schools, training sessions, seminars and workshops.

Every year, the Fipa welcomes more than 1,000 middle school and upper school students, as well as 400 French and international students, in close collaboration with instructors from universities, middle school and upper school, industry associations, etc.

Over the years the Fipa, one of the premier meeting places for television and film professionals, has grown to be a place where teachers and film and television professionals from all horizons can share their experiences and wisdom.
