Rapace

A funny, cruel, modern fable about finance. All of the events depicted are real (i.e., speculation on falling asset values, insider trading, increasing public debt…). The hero is a horrid trader who is proud of it: a cynical, extremely talented, high-octane golden boy who deep down is in despair. The action takes place exclusively in the City of London. Our young protagonist tries to drive a Lord in his field out of business: an aristocrat who defends a harmless brand of liberalism, which is not set to end any time soon. No-holds-barred.
