La Grande Famine de Mao

The Great Famine

Between 1958 and 1962, the "Great Leap Forward", designed by Mao to allow China to exceed British production and gain its autonomy from the USSR, led to the death of 30-50 million people due to the consequent famine. Even today, the Party still blames this terrible toll on “natural disasters”. Witness accounts, archives, and interviews with the main historians who investigated the disaster reveal the incredible secret underlying this tragedy.
