Doina GroparilorDigging for Life
The St. Lazarus Cemetery or Doina (as everyone calls it) in Chisinau, Republic of Moldova, is one of the largest cemeteries in Europe. Even if it is not a forbidden place, most people prefer to spend their time elsewhere and its only living inhabitants are the gravediggers. Their concerns always remain the same: dig and bury. But there are also living "ghosts" like Ms. Eleonora who has been making arrangements for her funeral for ten years now, although she’s only 62, healthy and sober.
