Bar Code

The first web-documentary from the collaboration between the NFB of Canada and ARTE, Bar Code uses objects to tell us about ourselves. Type in a word or domain, or scan the barcode of any object with your digital camera or smartphone—you’ll be transported through associations of ideas (often far-fetched) into little cinematographic worlds that can be funny, moving, or absurd. More than 100 short film clips from 30 directors are entertainingly accessible to be shared or to provoke questions. Also included: images of favourite objects with comments from Internet-users participating in the experiment.
