1962, de l'Algérie française à l'Algérie algérienne

Marie Colonna and Malek Bensmaïl were born in independent Algeria. They bring back the weeks between the cease-fire of March 19th 1962 and the election of the first Algerian National Assembly. French and Algerians bear testimony to the violence, the fears, the hopes and despairs. Their stories convey the intensity of this period which was the end of an era for some, the begining of a history to build for the others.
