Videocracy
Anti-portrait of the Berlusconi age, Videocracy examines the Italian broadcasting scene of the past 30 years. During his investigation, the Italian director successively comes across a mechanic who dreams of becoming Jean-Claude Van Damme, the influential Lele Mora, agent of starlets close to "Cavaliere", and Fabrizio Corona, head of a band of corrupt paparazzis. "The power of television in Italy is almost supernatural," says Erik Gandini as he relates the “exemplary” story of a figurehead of the TV studios who became the minister of the equality of the sexes.
