Mentally disturbed Susannah (28) lives in Israel with her widowed mother. She is an amateur painter with some hidden talent. The arrival of a long-lost nephew from New York, who asks to stay with the two women, turns Susannah's world upside down. The nephew happens to be sophisticated and handsome, captivating both the mother's and Susannah’s hearts. Throughout the series a unique and bizarre relationship develops between the nephew and Susannah. When he is forced to make a hasty departure, Susannah, who fell in love with him, breaks down and sinks into depression. After a long germination period, she discovers within herself the strength that the nephew, despite of all of his shortcomings, instilled in her, and makes a decision.
