DetermiNATION songs interweaves the stories of three talented native singers/songwriters - Samian, Cheri Maracle and CerAmony - through the artists' creative process, inspiration, commitment and involvement with the resistance movements in their communities. This film gives voice to a generation of dispossessed youth and obliges Québecers to confront their historical relationship with First Nations peoples. At a time when resistance is increasing on First Nation territories, this documentary on music, art and politics restores to the forestage the struggle of First Nations too often left in the shadows.
