Vérité et Réconciliation
Created in several countries around the world in the wake of a civil war, a serious violation of human rights, a collective crime or an authoritarian regime, the truth and reconciliation commission represents an ambiguous, often contradictory reality. Yet it seems indispensable. How can a traumatized and divided country look to its future? How can the infernal cycle of vengeance be avoided? How can we bring those responsible to recognize their wrongdoing and liberate the victims from the past to turn to the future? This film examines three examples: South Africa, Morocco and Canada.
