Ukiyo-eUkiyo-e
The art of Ukiyo-e ("pictures of the floating world"), originated in the Japanese culture of Edo some 400 years ago and had an enormous impact on landscape painting all over the world in the late 19th century. The film shows the influence of Japanese prints on such artists as Van Gogh and the Impressionists. A magnificent journey into a world of grace and beauty.
