Timor ou l'infortune de l'or noirTimor Gap
A documentary about East Timor's relations with Australia over oil. At close examination, Timor's misfortune has reeked of black gold because since its discovery in 1972, it has been a land of chaos. There followed: civil wars, occupation, genocide and a scorched earth policy. Since 28 April 2006, Timor has been ravaged by ethnic war and this year the Nobel Peace Prize laureate and ex-prime minister was almost assassinated. East Timor will go as far as The Hague to fight Australian lawlessness. The film describes this judicial odyssey with its main players, Sergio de Mello, Nobel Peace Prize laureate José Ramos-Horta and ex-prime minister, probable victim of this fight to control oil. Despite the evidence, Australia continues to demand its share.
