Tête de tuque

Girls and boys born in Quebec, whose parents are immigrants, talk about identity and integration in this film shot at Joseph-François-Perrault secondary school in Montreal. The young people, from Tunisia, Haiti, China and Vietnam, talk openly about their hesitations, what they know for sure, and their contradictions. We see them torn between the desire to be loyal to their parents’ teachings and traditions and their intention to become fully integrated into the values and the culture into which they were born. How will they make their dual identity a richness rather than a handicap? Their personal challenge is also society’s.
