Testimony from Hell
In the closing months of World War II, the central Philippine island of Leyte was the scene of a decisive battle of the Pacific Front. Tens of thousands of Japanese and American troops were mobilized for this battle, which took the lives of many people, including local civilians. The Japanese suffered heavy losses. More than sixty years later, this documentary gathers the testimony of participants on all sides of the tragic battle of Leyte, including Japanese and American soldiers, local civilians, and Filipino guerillas who fought against the Japanese.
