Sin treguaUnwanted Witness
For the past 15 years, Colombian journalist Hollman Morris has covered the armed conflict in Colombia on his weekly TV program, Contravia. In dozens of 25-minute reports, he has filmed the most serious human right violations in Colombia; these videos represent an indispensable archive on the country’s recent history. The broadcast has the support of the European Union and Canada and in 2007 Morris received one of the world’s most prestigious honors, the Human Rights Watch Defender Award. Unwanted Witness closely follows the work of this man who fights to denounce the barbaric conflict ravaging his country. In an age of political show biz, what drives a journalist to cover such complex subjects and refuse easy answers? Why does he take risks and how far will he go? How does it affect his private life?
