Robert Hossein
Theatre manager and actor, 130 films as actor, 12 as writer-director, 20 stage spectaculars as director, six novels... At 81, Robert Hossein can take stock of his career. His acting success, notably in La Marquise des anges, allowed him to direct his 1965 film, Le Vampire de Düsseldorf. In the changing climate of post-1968, he took over the programming of the maison de la Culture in Reims. His drama school was a success. Among his discoveries was Isabelle Adjani. This portrait of Robert Hossein, filmed at the Théâtre Marigny, which he had directed as of 2000, includes archive footage, photos, trailers for his movies, and interviews with Serge Rezvani, Marina Vlady and Françoise Arnoul.
