Qadir Enas Afganos OdysseasQadir, an Afghan Ulysses
Returning home. This is the journey of Qadir, an Afghan refugee who came to Greece after the Taliban invaded his town. He returns home 9 years later, searching for his family, with mixed feelings: besides the happiness, there is anxiety and even fear. The country is destroyed and trying to re-construct. The Taliban are still there, threatening everybody with suicide bombers. The poverty, the insecurity and the Government’s failure to provide its people even the basics are worrying Qadir. What will his decision be when he finds his family? Will he stay in Afghanistan or return to Greece? He is torn between two worlds, the East and the West. Qadir is a Ulysses of our time.
