Omar Porras, sorcier de la scène
For the first time, the founder of Teatro Malandro reveals his universe and his rehearsals to us. Omar Porras, a Swiss national with Colombian roots, goes back over the history of this company that was initially a street troupe. The documentary explores the privacy and the sweat at rehearsals, alternating with pictures of the shows. This immersion documentary shot over 14 months shows the company's creations in 2007: Bertolt Brecht's Mr Puntila and his Man Matti, and W. A. Mozart's The Enchanted Flute. A journey through the past and the present, from the squats at the beginning to the stage of the Comédie-Française. The film is interspersed with archival images that have marked the history of the company. The documentary unravels, in crescendo fashion, the enigma of Omar Porras, the history of an artist and a perpetual conqueror.
