This documentary deals with daily life in a Brazilian prison and the men who live side-by-side there. Through their personal accounts, movements and attitudes, guards and inmates talk of a common story, that of an oppressive penal environment and a violent social reality. But even as the roles seem assigned for good and everyone shows us what society expects of them, a breach opens in the documentary narrative to make way for fantasies and fiction. All that is something else entirely.
