Marie Laforêt
Today, Marie Laforêt no longer has the youthful beauty of her debut, but she still possesses the same fiery gaze, the amazon silhouette, and most of all, she never bites her tongue. She has graced many a French movie with her talent and beauty and made a name for herself as a singer with a string of hit songs, but she gets bored on a set, sends up the New Wave and finds her singing career fairly unexciting. She recently performed in a play. This time she wasn’t bored and won a Moliere Award. She is a passionate artist. This portrait uses archive footage (interviews with François Chalais) which shows her at the start of her career, photos and a TV excerpt from Que Calor la Vida in 1968.
