In the spring of 1945, three Berliners described the battle of Berlin in their diaries from the viewpoint of the civilian population. At the center of the war, these women wrote under all circumstances. Even when they risked serial rapes committed by the conquering armies. The assault on women’s bodies. The lowest common denominator of all conflicts which a persistent taboo keeps in silence. This film juxtaposes these accounts written in the heat of events and the memories of other women who lived through the battle of Berlin and show us this invisible war as it can be imagined in the ruins of the city.
