La Savane américaineAmerican Savannah
Lawns are life. They make up parks, gardens, cemeteries, golf course, sports grounds, they cover places where we can lie down, sleep and picnic. They disperse the smell of freshly-mowed grass. Lawns are globetrotters. They began in Great Britain, spread to the United States; as far as the Nevada desert. Today we find them in certain regions of India and China. Despite all the tending they need, lawns remain appreciated by all sorts of people around the world. This film examines this man-made creation and takes an inquisitive and speculative look on the cultural icon it has become.
