Sonia is a French teacher in a "problem" junior high school. Having to deal with the difficulties of teaching and her husband’s leaving her, she is on the verge of a depression. One day, she finds a pistol in one of her student’s bags and seizes it. In the confusion, the gun goes off and wounds the student in the leg.
