On December 6 2007, at dawn, a fire breaks out at the line 5 of the ThyssenKrupp factory in Turin. It's hell on earth: seven steelworkers out of eight will burn to death. One worker is killed during the blaze, while six other will die subsequently in hospital from serious burns. The massive media coverage of the disaster gave the victims a privileged position in the tragic frame of the work related deaths. The film follows the victims' families and colleagues who tell the tragedy and the life after the drama.
