Jusqu'au bout du rêve

A Dream Comes True

80-year-old, charismatic, Brussels-based artist Olivier Strebelle has always been ready to risk it all to make his dreams come true. His latest landmark achievement was the creation of a monument built in Beijing, which will become the memory of the 29th Olympics. The gigantic “Alley of the Athletes”, with its 130 tons of stainless steel, its 20-metre statues aligned over more than 100 metres, is a gift from Belgium to China. During three years, Elisabeth Burdot shared an artistic, human and political-financial adventure with many a twist and turn and innumerable challenges. A Dream Comes True is also the portrait of an artist and his work, discovered through the familiar universe of an exceptional man, a very youthful octogenarian who professes to be candid as a fox.
