Juan Carlos, l'enfance d'un chef
Juan Carlos, the Making of a Leader
Juan Carlos is a hero in his own country. He remains an icon to the Spanish people, thee living embodiment of the democratic transition and the face of a Spain free of Franco. How did he become this ardent champion of democracy? Designated as the heir apparent to the Caudillo, raised by Falangists and the men of the Opus Dei, how did he manage to forge this progressive political ideal? The film addresses these questions and limns a portrait of Juan Carlos, from his childhood to the coup d’état of 1981.
