Jacob Do Bandolim
In this show, Brazilian musicians of different generations, as Izaías Bueno de Almeida, Déo Rian, Hamilton de Holanda, Ronen Altman, Aleh Ferreira and Renato Anesi, play in memory of the 90th year of Jacob do Bandolim, one of the most important Brazilian instrumental musicians. Jacob was born in Rio de Janeiro at 1918 and died at 1969, at the age of 51. He became a specialist in his instrument — “the bandolim”, a small and round guitar — and composed a variety of songs that influenced the next generations of Brazilian musicians.
