J'avais 15 ansI was 15
On September 10, 1941, André Kirschen, who had just turned 15, shot down a German officer at the Porte Dauphine metro station. "By the time you learn how to live, it’s already too late," he explains. "Logically, I should have been dead at 15. Now, I’ve reached the respectable age of 80 and I look back on my life." Before his death on December 29, 2007, Kirschen talked to filmmaker Frank Cassenti about his odyssey, that of a poignant and extraordinary life in the darkest hours of occupied France.
