Iran, une puissance dévoilée

Iran: the Hundred Years' War

Just how far will Iran go? Crossroads and divided nation, Iran is recovering from a century of political upheavals. The nuclear crisis has revealed its bid for power in the face of the world. The roots of the challenge it has thrown down to the West go deep into a past upset by revolutions and the intrigues of foreign governments. The events of this history, illuminated by the points of view of Iranians who played main roles, provide the keys to Iran's current international ambitions. For the first time, this film retraces 100 years of Iranian history, going back to the sources of Iran's confrontation with western powers. Exceptionally, Iranian authorities allowed the filmmakers to film in Iran. Interviews with front-rank personalities - such as former president Hashemi Rafsandjani - were shot in Tehran and Qom.
