Enfants de Kaboul

Kaboul's Children

Working with a common theme, five young Afghan filmmakers made five documentary shorts. Everyone knows that it’s the children who suffer most from the war and that it’s for them that the country is being reconstructed. The subjects include the teenage middle class girl who doesn’t want to grow up to an appealing and resourceful band of young car washers. The episodes: Bulbul the City Bird by Reza Hossaini, The Little Musicians of Kharabat by Wahid Nazir, There Once Lived Noor Jehan by Ali Hazarat, Bricks and Dreams by Sediqa Rezaei, and Sahar’s Profession by Taj Mahammad Bakhtari.
