En compagnie d'Antonin Artaud
May 1946: after nine years of confinement, Antonin Artaud finally gets out of the Rodez asylum and comes back to Paris among his relatives. That day, Jacques Prevel gets illuminated. As a young poet, he follows Artaud in his peregrinations from the hospital in Ivry to Saint-Germain-des-Prés, while pursuing his quest for poetry, drugs and alcohol. Prevel becomes the disciple and the provider, the companion of this man of genius. He recounts the chronicle of his life until his death, two years later. In post-war Paris, where he experiments misery and suffering, Prevel shares his life with two women, Rolande and Jany, while becoming attached for ever to Antonin Artaud who has been his only friend.
