Axelle, Hugo, Kareem and Victor are children with cancer. They confront the ordeal of anti-cancer treatments supported by the love of their parents and a concerned, professional medical team. Their struggle introduces us to cutting-edge medical care that is brutal yet sophisticated and which can perform miracles, but which cannot do everything. From the diagnosis to the outcome of the treatment, this film spent 16 months exploring the dimensions of human experience: the workings of the body, death, rebellion, tenderness, and the exuberant spontaneity of childhood.
