Dans les pas du MahatmaFollowing Gandhi's Path
Left out of India’s economic growth, tens of thousands of landless peasants gathered in the city of Gwalior on October 2, 2007. Nearly 80 years after Gandhi’s Salt March, which opened the way to independence, they in turn took part in a peaceful 220-mile march to New Delhi, the capital. This documentary follows this unusual march, going into remote villages to meet those who fought against forced industrialization, and accompanying the outcasts of economic growth in their peregrinations. They reached New Delhi 20,000 strong.
