Clôture

In a farmyard, a child plays at running after the hens while an old woman yells at her cows: she’s fed up and can’t wait to be rid of them. The child reassures her: when he grows up, he’ll look after them. When a filthy cattle dealer drives up in a dusty livestock truck to take a cow to the slaughterhouse, the child rushes over to her to ask when it’s going. The old woman answers, for a ride. The years go by, marked out by the visits of the cattle dealer, as the old woman gets older and the child grows up.
