Borislav Brondukov made his first television appearance back in 1962, but his first role didn't bring him success. Then there followed a series of cameo roles in the films that were to become famous. Gradually, Borislav Brondukov began to win the viewer's hearts and at the same time the directors' recognition. Although he still was not offered the leading roles, the actor could exhibit his talent. Borislav Brondukov: the next person after Chaplin tries to understand the mystery of charm of Borislav Brondukov, an actor who was not playing leading roles, who was not an handsome man but who was able to fascinate others. In the film, Brondukov is mentioned by his friends, colleagues and his wife Katerina who had lived with him for more than 30 years. The film's narrator is Brondukov's best friend, director and scriptwriter, Viktor Merezheko.
