After a few years of living together, Atijat discovers that her husband Adil is looking for a second wife. Through their story, the film depicts indifferent marriage relationships in an African family, and evokes subjects such as polygamy, girls' circumcision and Sudanese ideal of beauty. The film shows the distance between African and European culture, and at the same time, the similarity of emotions, needs and goals.
