17-year-old Arnau leads a carefree life until the day he falls in love with Olga, a girl his age. He does anything to please her. That’s how he ends up visiting a rest home, where he meets Ramon, a man with a libertine past suffering from Alzheimer’s. At first hesitant, Arnaud starts to take care of the old man and a strong friendship ensues. The youth helps Roman recall the most dramatic episodes of his life, notably his fight against fascism and the death of his brother, Frederic. Questions are raised which await answers. When these enigmas are resolved, Roman finds inner peace and dies soon after. Arnau is overwhelmed by a feeling of great loss. But his friendship with Ramon and his relationship with Olga have given new meaning to his life.
