In 1966, the city of Gothenburg closed down its famous club, Cue, worried that young people would be corrupted by rock music, seen as the work of the devil. But the youths, among them Tommy, Lena, Erik and Rebecca, didn’t take this sitting down: the closing triggered rioting in the streets of the city, to the strains of Bob Dylan, the Who and the Rolling Stones. Sharing a desire to change the world, the four heroes hail from different backgrounds and nurture different ambitions. In 1968, bombs fell on Vietnam, while the barricades burned in Europe. Tommy, Lena, Erik and Rebecca each take part in their own way in this new movement, even as they try to face up to more personal problems.
