Tour des Finaly
Grenoble, February 1944: Robert and Gérald Finaly, respectively aged three and two, are entrusted by their parents to Mademoiselle Brun, who runs the municipal crèche. Shortly after, the parents are deported to Auschwitz, never to return. Aware they are Jews but grateful to Christianity for saving their lives, the two children grow up calling Mademoiselle Brun: Mother. At the end of the war, their family moves to get them back, but Mademoiselle Brun, a devout Catholic, decides to have them baptized and hides them in different monasteries and churches. Robert and Gerald, who today live in Israel, return for the first time to the places where they were concealed. We follow them to France, Switzerland and the Basque country, as well as Vienna, where for the first time they meet the relatives remaining in their hometown.
