Théodore Monod, un destin nomadeThéodore Monod, a Lifetime’s Wandering
Centered on Theodore Monod’s last expedition in 1996, the film looks back at the life, challenges and philosophy of one of the outstanding figures of the 20th century. Monod, who was born in 1902 and died in 2000, was a scholar, philosopher, writer and man of convictions and causes. The magnificent images of the Tibesti Mountains where we follow Monod in his search of specimens of a flower he discovered 56 years before, are interwoven with previously unseen archive footage, newsreel images and exclusive interviews, notably with his son, Ambroise, and a close friend, Jean-Marc Durou, a Saharan photographer.
