Tempus Fugit
Painter Pavle Blesic (aged 83) is a poet of transience. Before his famous "gates" separating the scope of past and future worlds, time turns into history before our very eyes. Slowly, excitingly, gently – one immerses into the mystical depths of the "sfumato" paintings, that resemble their author ever so much, as the title found on the back of most of his canvases echoes in your ears – "Tempus Fugit" – time flies.
A program filmed towards the end of 2006, in the almost surreal environment of Monoštorski, in the ancient quarters of the city of Sombor, in the streets with baroque gates, and in the village cemeteries of this town lying at the far north of Serbia.
