This is a unique documentary from the heart of the Swedish government and of Prime Minister Göran Persson's ten years in office. SVT's senior political correspondent Erik Fichtelius conducted countless personal interviews on Persson's political considerations, minister appointments, friends and enemies, the leaders of other countries, his loneliness and his dreams. The interviews were granted on condition that they are kept off the record until the Prime Minister left office. The documentary series aired in the spring of 2007, starting the day after Persson stepped down as head of Social Democratic Party. SVT conducted 57 interviews with Persson during his years as Prime Minister, about 100 hours of unique swedish contemporary history.
