Mein Kampf, c'était écrit

A book that has no equal in history. Mein Kampf, a political blueprint of unheard-of violence, was written by Adolf Hitler in a prison cell in 1923. Only ten years later, its author ruled Germany and the major theses of the book were set in motion, at the cost of a world war, 40 million dead in Europe and a genocide. “A conspiracy in broad daylight,” is how one leading historian described it. This film retraces the history of the book, from its writing to the present day. It is both a historical documentary drawing on often rare archive footage, and an inquiry into an object of disturbing, even forbidden, memory. This documentary examines the world’s responsibility in relation to Nazi barbarism, about which we must admit: it was written.
