The life of Lucie Bertaud, a young woman of 20, newly arrived in Paris from the Anjou countryside to become a boxing champion. Lucie comes to capital on an impulse. At the Aubervilliers club, she is trained by Saïd Bennajem, reputed for making women boxing champions. Saïd immediately sees Lucie’s potential and within a few weeks is accompanying her to the French championship finals. Lucie fights for the time to box. Boxing is her passion, her reason to live. When she climbs into the ring, she has to win as if her life depended on it. Nothing else can justify all her sacrifices.
