Félix Kersten, le médecin du Diable

Félix Kersten, Satan's Doctor

The incredible story of Dr. Felix Kersten, one of the great massage therapists of the 1930s. In 1939, he became personal masseur to the SS chief, Heinrich Himmler, who suffered from severe stomach pains. Kersten’s magic fingers alleviated his suffering. This earned him the Nazi’s trust. Kersten gradually made him understand that there was a direct link between the horror of his acts and his ailment. Thus, single-handedly, without weapons and while a closely watched semi-prisoner of the Nazi machine, Kersten managed to persuade Himmler to lie to Hitler. Week after week, Kersten used his position to help men and women sent to concentration camps. He thus saved thousands from Nazi fanaticism. At the end of the war, Kersten was accused of intelligence with the 3rd Reich, but several international investigative commissions cleared him. Joseph Kessel was one of the first to have told his story.
