In Romania, during the communist regime, peasant brass bands took part in events in the cities. At that time, the bands were at their apogee. Today, all that remains is the music, their great source of pride. This unique blend of Romanian tradition, military music, Austrian brass bands and eastern rhythms (Turkish, gypsy) has survived in this region of Moldavia, on the frontier between Asia and Europe.
