Dominique Baudis, president of the CSA broadcasting watchdog, Karine Duchochois, a young mother in Outreau, Gérard Lhéritier, a businessman in Nice, all lived through the same drama. Wrongly accused of serious acts, they lost control of their lives, their names, their reputations, their private lives, all sacrificed to the press. Though cleared, they have remained victims of a vast media trial which has not spared them. In their accounts and those of their entourage, but also those of their accusers, this film exposes the implacable workings of these press extremes and analyzes their repercussions.
