Citizens K
With some 40 million inhabitants, Poland is one of Europe’s largest countries. Its changing domestic policies and international stances weigh heavily on the European thought process, and have also been used as a mouthpiece for all sorts of populist, nationalist and conservative movements. At the head of the country stand the Kaczynski brothers, devout Catholics and staunch anti-communists. Mixing exclusive interviews with the Kaczynski twins, their mother, and the President’s wife, along with accounts from Polish journalists and public figures, our film offers a biting and satirical snapshot of national populism in modern-day Poland.
