Catherine Frot
With the discretion of a well-raised young girl, Catherine Frot emerged quietly, without any apparent career plan, to become one of our leading actresses. In a unique instance, she received both a Molière and a César award for the same role in the stage and screen versions of Agnès Jaoui and Jean-Pierre Bacri’s play Un Air de famille, filmed by Cédric Klapisch. Her sense of imaginative whimsy delighted audiences of Pascal Thomas’s la Dilettante. Since then, she has proven herself able to carry a play or a film on her charming shoulders. Thanks to her impeccable presence, subtle smile and complex body language, Ms. Frot continues to astonish us in a wide variety of roles.
