Ingmar Bergman was one of the world’s most important and influential filmmakers. With such titles as Smiles of a Summer’s Night, The Seventh Seal, Wild Strawberries and The Silence, he has won respect and admiration. He died at the age of eighty-five, having spent more than sixty of those years directing. Now, for the first time, his world is shown to us on the desolate and mysterious Baltic island of Fårö.
